MEET THE TEAM
Behind the scenes at Evil Eye Concepts/Blue Box Press is a close-knit team of professionals who genuinely love what they do—and who they do it for. They believe great books are born from trust, partnership, and an unwavering respect for the creative process.
The team brings together a wide range of backgrounds and specialties but is united by a shared philosophy: thoughtful publishing, meticulous care, a collaborative spirit, and stories that matter.
Meet the people who help guide each book from concept to publication and every other detail along the way.
OPERATIONS MANAGER – KIM GUIDROZ
Kim spent years working in business and education before moving into the publishing world.
She is currently operations manager for Evil Eye Concepts/Blue Box Press and the lead editor/PA for DLZ Entertainment. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her husband and three (large) rescue dogs who believe it is their lot in life to protect her from the Amazon delivery driver. When not working, she loves to watch horror movies and work in her yard.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MANAGER – JESSICA SAUNDERS
Jessica is the Business Administration Manager at Evil Eye Concepts, who ensures the “behind-the-scenes” is just as polished as the final product. Whether she’s calculating daily sales, paying out author royalties, or getting PR packages out the door, Jessica handles the logistics with a sharp eye for detail.
Beyond the numbers, Jessica oversees the logistics of PR distribution and provides high-level support for a variety of creative projects. A native of Kingsland, Georgia, she balances her professional life with a love for reading and a fascination with true crime. When she isn’t streamlining workflows, she’s likely spending quality time at home with her husband and son.
EXECUTIVE EDITOR – CHELLE OLSON
Chelle is part strategist, part creative partner—someone who thrives on the little things without losing sight of the big picture. Her goal is simple: to make every book not just polished, but fabulous, while always respecting the author’s unique voice.
She brings rare precision to that mission. Eighteen years as an SQA Engineer and technical writer sharpened her eye for structure and detail; fourteen years as a freelance copyeditor and proofreader deepened her instinct for story and strengthened her editorial foundation. Certified through UC San Diego Extension, Chelle has edited for major NY publishers and worked with numerous New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors across copy, line, continuity, and developmental editing, as well as back cover copy creation.
A lifelong bibliophile who also writes under the pen name Rayvn Salvador, Chelle approaches every project as true collaboration—never a slog, always a thoughtful partnership. She champions bold, emotionally rich voices with an editor’s precision and an author’s heart, a philosophy she actively fosters within her team at Blue Box Press.
Chelle lives in South Florida with her partner and a clowder of spoiled cats. If she’s not working, she’s likely investigating a haunted location or attending a sporting event or concert.
EDITOR – STACEY TARDIF
As a kid, Stacey lost herself in the pages of books like Harriet the Spy, The Bobbsey Twins, and James and the Giant Peach (where she learned that books can make you cry) and never looked back. While her dream of moving to New York City to sift through slush piles looking for the next great novel was waylaid by motherhood, she’s wielded her red pen in one way or another for the last 25 years. Today, Stacey loves nothing more than helping writers get their voice on the page and shepherding stories through revision after revision after revision–until it’s just right. She lives in New England with her husband, her three kids, and a quirky dog who thinks ice cubes are treats.
PROOFREADER – SUZY BALDWIN
Suzy started her career as an educator after graduating from McNeese State University in Mass Communications. She worked on her post-graduate work at Southeastern Louisiana University as she taught high school English, speech and drama, and journalism. She retired several years ago but missed her love of analyzing her students’ writings and her connection to all things in the literary world. She decided to become a copyeditor/proofreader. After being certified by the University of California at San Diego as a copywriter, she was hired by Blue Box Press. She also does freelance proofreading and copyediting.
PUBLICITY COORDINATOR – TANAKA KANGARA
Tanaka started her love for reading when she was 7 years old. While kids her age were playing outside you would find her nose stuck in a book.
As a graduate in Food and Wine, Tanaka’s love for reading romance books was ignited back in 2011 and it resulted in starting a book review blog in 2016 which fueled her passion for helping authors. From working as a PA to working for various PR firms, she found her joy and happiness in book publicity, marketing and promotion. Currently she proudly works for Blue Box Press as a Publicity Coordinator, as well as offers freelance marketing and promotion for authors which includes managing ARC campaigns, influencer marketing, and content promotion.
Tanaka currently resides in Harare, Zimbabwe. You can find her obsessing over her latest read, binge-watching Korean dramas, watching Formula 1, and drinking her favorite Iced Mocha.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER – GRACE WENK
Grace Wenk is the Social Media Manager at Blue Box Press, where she brings stories to life online through creative strategy, thoughtful storytelling, and a love for community building. She first joined Blue Box Press as an intern, made possible by the generosity and support of co-owners Jillian Stein and Liz Berry—a beginning that shaped both her career and her passion for the publishing world.
A lifelong romance reader, Grace believes every good book deserves its moment—and every feed deserves a little swoon. When she’s not crafting content, you can find her chasing her next five-star romance read and collecting fictional book boyfriends.
COVER & VISUAL DESIGN SPECIALIST – HANG LE
Hang is a designer specializing in book covers and other literary materials that capture the spirit of a story at first glance. Before starting her company in 2012 to follow her dream, she spent over ten years working in film, theatre, and interior design. These experiences shaped her love of mood, storytelling, and strong visual impact.
Her designs have appeared on numerous New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists, won awards, and can be found on bookshelves around the world. She loves collaborating with authors and publishers to create covers that feel authentic, eye-catching, and true to the story inside.

DIGITAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST – DYLAN STOCKTON
Dylan is an ebook formatter extraordinaire and has been working for Evil Eye Concepts for eleven years. He lives in Arlington, Texas with his family.
WEB ADMINISTRATOR – CHRISTOPHER GRAHAM
Chris has been building and maintaining websites for clients for 21 years. He’s built at least one website on every CMS platform that has been invented since the turn of the century, but these days he works mostly with WordPress. In addition to web design, he also serves as the Technology Coordinator and Art Director for the International Thriller Writers, and works for several companies and colleges in the NY/NJ tri-state area, specializing in website, database, and server management.
Along with his amazingly patient wife and two terribly behaved dogs, he lives in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, which, as it turns out, is actually a plateau (?), but he will always call the Jersey Shore home.
